Three auburn companions, the rarest colouring on the timetable
Only three women on the board have auburn or red hair, so the list is short enough to read in a minute and specific enough to plan around. The shades differ. Lea wears hers in auburn waves, Luna's is deeper and closer to red, and Patricia's is an auburn brown that picks up copper under a lamp.

Lea, twenty minutes from Belgravia
Lea is petite at 161 cm, hazel eyed and cheerfully spontaneous. Interiors are her obsession, theatre her treat and a weekly ceramics class her patience. Weekends go early, so a midweek start around six is the easiest to secure, and a late afternoon in Holland Park followed by a pre-theatre supper suits her perfectly.

Luna, one Elizabeth line stop away
Luna stands 171 cm with a curvy figure, bold in style and a little teasing in conversation. Wine tasting sharpened her palate and photography her memory for faces. Her bookings run Monday to Thursday, with weekends worth asking about rather than assuming, and from Bond Street she reaches Paddington in a single stop. A concert on the far side of Kensington Gardens is her idea of a proper night.

Patricia, a day or two ahead
Patricia, 172 cm and slim, is gentle and observant, the companion who spots which book sits on your nightstand. Watercolours, old noir films and secondhand bookshops take up most of her own time. Quiet evenings arranged a day or two in advance suit her best, and from Belgravia a five o'clock start in Notting Hill is simple to arrange.

Three routes across the park
Each of the three tends to take an evening somewhere different, and the journey is part of the plan. Lea heads west to a painter's house in Holland Park, roughly twelve minutes by cab from a Paddington lobby. Luna crosses Kensington Gardens to the concert hall on its southern edge, a twenty minute walk on a light evening or ten by cab after dark. Patricia goes north to a small bookshop off Portobello Road, about ten minutes away. Tell the desk which direction appeals and the timings are worked out before she sets off.

If the evening turns on a performance, send the first message about Luna. If you want to wander and change the plan halfway, Lea. If you would rather talk than go anywhere at all, Patricia. None of the three is a same hour booking by habit, so write early in the day and name the start time you have in mind.

What the evening costs
