Thirties and beyond, four companions with nothing to hurry
Four companions have turned 30. Sonya, at 32, is the eldest, Margo is 31, and Nancy and Violetta are both 30. This is the smallest band on the board and, by the desk's own reckoning, the calmest, a stage of life at which each woman has settled her own preferences and states them kindly.
Every age on the board was confirmed from identification when she joined. Here the band points to a manner rather than a number: patient listening, a settled sense of style, and a knack for making a long booking feel shorter than the clock says.
Thirties and beyond, boarding

Nancy

Sonya

Violetta
Sonya, between five and ten
Sonya keeps a fixed window from five to ten in the evening, which makes her the most dependable early booking on the board. She crosses from Knightsbridge in about fifteen minutes, meditates every morning and has a remarkable nose for fragrance. After a long flight she turns an arrival into a quiet garden walk and a pot of tea.
Margo, planned a week ahead
Margo listens more than she talks and lets a conversation open at its own speed. Away from bookings she is drawn to new art, piano music and gardening. Her overnights, ten hours at £1,800, deserve a full week of planning, and a first evening together is a sensible way to find out whether one appeals.
Nancy, weekends by Wednesday
Nancy, golden blonde and blue eyed, is the sunniest of the four. She swims most days, plans road trips for fun and relaxes over sushi. Friday to Sunday requests should reach the desk by Wednesday, since those three days fill first.
Violetta, dinner and a late show
Violetta stands 178 cm, taller than anyone else on the board, looks composed and turns out to be very funny. Her ideal booking is dinner first and then a late comedy set beside the canal in Maida Vale, which makes four hours, £900, the natural fit. A daily swim and an afternoon in a bookshop are how she spends her own time.
Longer bookings suit this band
All four are at ease with time. Margo is among the companions the desk suggests for overnights, best arranged the day before. Violetta is also on its shortlist for business events, where a composed guest at your side matters more than small talk. Nancy suits a weekend with a road in it, and Sonya an early evening that ends on time.
Other bands and lists
For a brisker, more spontaneous manner, see late twenties or early twenties. Within this band Nancy is one of the blondes, Violetta appears on both the raven haired and statuesque lists, Margo on slim and slender, and Sonya on petite as well as toned.
Where the four set out from
Two cross the park: Sonya and Margo both live in Knightsbridge and reach Bayswater or Lancaster Gate in about a quarter of an hour. Violetta comes from Belgravia, around twenty minutes by cab, and Nancy from Covent Garden, closer to twenty five. None of those journeys leaves Zones 1 and 2, so none of them adds to the fare. For a same evening request, Sonya's window makes her the most predictable; for anything planned days ahead, all four are worth asking about first.
Found the look? Book the seat.
One line with your hotel and a start time is enough. A real person on the desk answers inside a quarter of an hour, day or night, and most evenings are under way within the hour after that.
