Travel notes
  • Stands 167 cm, slim
  • Chestnut hair, neat and straight
  • Brown eyed, late twenties
  • Off duty: French novels, pilates, roses

Quiet arrivals are Liana's speciality. The lift doors open, and there she is: slim, 167 cm, chestnut hair falling long, straight and neat down her back, and eyes of warm brown that seem to have read the room already. She favours classic romantic dressing, a navy silk blouse, a pleated skirt that moves when she walks, pearl studs and a trench coat belted properly. Late twenties and graceful without trying, she has the posture that pilates gives and the soft voice a good library would approve of.

Intuition is her quiet strength. Liana reads a mood quickly and adjusts, becoming talkative when you want distraction and restful when you do not. French literature is the great love, novels mostly, and she can make a nineteenth century plot sound like gossip about the neighbours. Gardening is the weekend counterweight, and she talks about roses and soil with surprising passion. English is her language, spoken gently and precisely, and she remembers the small things you mention in passing.

The Bakerloo line brings her from Marylebone to Paddington in two stops, and her kind of evening here starts among the glasshouses at Clifton Nurseries, tucked behind the stucco villas near Warwick Avenue in Little Venice, where she will choose a small pot of thyme for your hotel windowsill. From there it is a few minutes on foot to a candlelit neighbourhood table, a bottle of white Burgundy and a slow meal. The walk back along the canal to W2 takes about fifteen minutes, and she will have told you the plot of her favourite novel by then.

Liana suits quiet weeknights in Maida Vale and the hotels north of the park. Give the desk a day's notice where you can; a single WhatsApp line with her name, the hotel and a start time is all it takes.

Her fare ladder

Liana is two Bakerloo stops from Paddington, so she is rarely more than twenty minutes from a W2 lobby. A day's notice is ideal, and ninety minutes, £400, suits a garden stroll and a drink.

Every line is quoted in whole pounds and settled with her in cash on arrival. Travel, airport minimums and cancelling are set out on the rates page.

An evening with Liana

Liana's evening opens at 18:30 with a small ceremony: she hands you a book wrapped in brown paper and asks you not to open it until the end of the night. Then a walk, or a cab if it is raining, to somewhere with low lamps and a short menu.

Conversation drifts from the novel she is rereading to the roses she is trying to rescue from last winter, and to the pilates teacher who, she says, is the strictest person in London. She eats slowly and notices when the waiter is overworked. Around 21:00 she suggests coffee rather than another glass. Back at the hotel she settles into the armchair, asks you to unwrap the book and reads the first page aloud, very quietly, so the evening finishes the way good novels start.

Liana, in brief

Bonjour Tristesse. It is short, sunny and slightly cruel, and you can finish it on a single flight with time left over for a nap.

Rosemary, thyme and patience. Basil sulks the moment you look away. Everything else is a long negotiation with the London weather.

Because it is quiet. No music, no shouting, just breathing and a teacher counting slowly. My whole week feels straighter afterwards.

This log only grows when a client who actually met Liana writes in afterwards. The desk reads every note before it appears, prints it under a first name and the month of the booking, and never drafts one itself. Empty for now is the honest state.
