Laura lives close enough to Paddington that she hears the station announcements on a still night, and that closeness is half of her appeal. The other half arrives in person: 169 cm and athletic, light brown hair grown long and lifted by summer highlights, and green eyes that always seem about to laugh. Her style is garden party elegance, a floral midi dress or pale trousers with a silk shirt, sandals in summer and neat ankle boots once the weather turns. Mid twenties, energetic, and among the quickest on the board to reach a W2 lobby.
Adventure is her default setting. She rides whenever she can, skis every winter and plans summers around Italian towns with steep streets and long lunches. That outdoor energy makes her warm, direct and very good at coaxing a tired traveller out of the room and into the evening. She speaks English with an easy, cheerful rhythm and asks the sort of travel questions that make you want to book your next trip on the spot.
Her W2 evening begins with a walk. Bathurst Mews, ten minutes from the station, still has horses stabled behind its cobbles at Hyde Park Stables, and Laura takes that route on purpose to show you the most unexpected neighbours in London. From there Victoria Gate leads into the park for a loop past the water as the light fades, then back out onto the Bayswater Road for dinner somewhere with a terrace and a cold Italian white. The return leg is shorter, about twelve minutes, because by then she is ready for a nightcap.
Laura can usually take a same day request from midday, and anywhere in Paddington is a few minutes from her door. Tell the desk where you are staying, when to start and how many hours, and it is arranged.
